With over two decades of expertise in Islamic banking, Mohamed Abdelkader has held pivotal positions across diverse sectors, including retail banking, corporate finance, credit policies, and credit risk management.
He is a Certified Credit Risk Manager and a Certified Sharia Auditor and Advisor, accredited by the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI). As an active member of AAOIFI’s Translation Committee, Mohamed contributes significantly to the dissemination and implementation of Sharia standards in Islamic financial institutions.
Mohamed’s contributions extend beyond traditional roles, as he is recognized for his innovative approach to the development of new Islamic financial products. He has played an instrumental role in designing and structuring Sharia-compliant solutions tailored to meet modern financial needs. His work includes creating pioneering Islamic products such as Sukuk structures, advanced Murabaha arrangements, and dynamic investment partnerships that align with contemporary market demands.
Throughout his work as Director of the Office of Dr. Hussein Hamid Hassan, a prominent Islamic finance scholar, Mohamed has provided Sharia and technical consultancy to more than 20 Islamic financial institutions across the Middle East, the Far East, and Europe. He was a key figure in the review and structuring of Sukuk issuances valued at over USD200 bn globally.

Mohamed, is a PhD researcher at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport and holds an MBA from the same institution.
